Conneaut, OH, (August 13, 2013): Chris Clinger was the son of master E-Mod builder Jim Clinger who tragically passed from this world at the tender age of 29. Each year he has been remembered with a race fittingly 29 laps in length for the Bonnell Collision E-Mods. The 2013 edition of Chris’ memorial will be held this Friday and will pay $1200 to the winner. In addition, each lap the leader will be awarded an additional $29 for each sponsor for that lap. Eight laps have two sponsors meaning that twenty-one laps will pay $29 to the leader and eight will pay $58.
The points race for the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods shows defending champion Joel Watson leading Mike Potosky by 61-markers with only three weeks remaining in the season. Watson has several wins on the season while neither Potosky nor third-running Gary Eicher has yet visited the Winner’s Circle. Rich Michael, competing on a limited schedule, is the big winner this season with three triumphs, including the two most recent events. Dan McDonald is only 11 points out of third while his brother Percy is only two points further back in fifth.
Chad Wright leads to Evergreen lake Park Campground FASTRAK Late Models with a huge, but not insurmountable, 174 point advantage over Kyle Zimmerman, who in turn has a slim 15-point cushion over third running Jamie Brown. Neither Zimmerman nor Brown have yet to finish at the front of a feature. Dave Airgood rides fourth, a mere five points behind Brown while defending champion Max Blair is mired back in fifth.
The Western Reserve Animal Clinic Street Stock championship standings has former champion Chris Withers leading the way with a comfortable 121 point lead over former champion Ed Bolyard. Eric Reinwald, who scored his first-ever feature win earlier this season is 135 points back of Bolyard in third. Darrin Hyde and Jonny Boyd are fourth and fifth.
Brian Hathaway leads the McDonalds Meat Economods with an 85 points lead over the veteran Chuck Steinle Sr. Young Kyle Fellows, Showing improvement every week, is now third, only 17 points in arrears of Steinle. Early season leader Russ Kapalin is fourth with Tony Hyde fifth.
The Specialty Products Mini Stocks are being led by Brad Cole, with a 21-point advantage over second running Dale Fraschetti, a rookie. Cole has two wins on the year while Fraschetti, with four heat race wins, has yet to break into the feature race Victory Lane. Bud Sergeff the reigning champion, sets third, 14 points back of Fraschetti. Jason Easler, a one-time winner this season, is third with Mitch Stokes fifth.
